Global IT services provider FPT and ZEDAS GmbH, a leading German provider of railway software solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate digital transformation across the global railway industry.
Under the agreement, FPT and ZEDAS will collaborate on digital solutions, consulting and technology projects, system integration, and rail-sector opportunities across key markets worldwide. By combining ZEDAS’s rail-domain expertise in asset and maintenance management, infrastructure, and logistics with FPT’s capabilities in software engineering, AI, data, IoT, and global delivery model, the partnership aims to help railway organizations modernize infrastructure, improve asset performance, and optimize maintenance and asset management across passenger and freight transport.
“As railway organizations modernize aging infrastructure and adapt to growing operational demands, AI is becoming a critical enabler of smarter and more efficient operations. This partnership with ZEDAS strengthens FPT’s ability to bring its AI-first approach into the rail sector, using platforms such as FleziPT to advance predictive asset management, improve maintenance efficiency, and support more intelligent, data-driven railway systems,” said Dzung Tran, FPT Software Senior Vice President and FPT Europe Chief Executive Officer, FPT Corporation.
“With FPT, we want to grow together in asset management projects. Our rail domain expertise and FPT's technology and delivery capabilities complement each other - that is the foundation we now want to build on for railway customers worldwide,” said Thomas Landskron, Head of Sales, ZEDAS GmbH.

With more than a decade of operations in Europe, FPT supports over 150 enterprises across sectors including energy, manufacturing, financial services, aviation, and public services. The company now operates in nine European countries and continues to expand its regional footprint through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, including RWE IT Slovakia, AOSIS in France, and David Lamm Consulting in Germany. Most recently, FPT established FPT Poland in Gdańsk, following the acquisition of Nippon Seiki Europe’s Polish design and development unit, further strengthening its engineering capacity and proximity to customers across the region.
